Wine tasting in the open air

If you drive through the Rheingau in the summer months, you will discover them everywhere: small but fine wine tasting stands. Guests have the opportunity to taste different wines in the open air and in an informal atmosphere.

On September 6, 1814, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe wrote knowledgeably in his Rheingau diary "In the Rheingau autumn days: The quality of the wine depends on the location, but also on the later harvest. The poor and the rich are constantly at odds over this; the former want a lot, the latter good wine."
