Change of operator at Brühl's Hotel Trapp
Ulla Häfner takes over the management - all employees are taken over

Rüdesheim on the Rhine. The traditional 3-star*S Brühl's Hotel Trapp is located in the old town of Rüdesheim - not far from the market square and the famous Drosselgasse. It has 40 rooms and was founded in 1983 by Christel and Kurt Brühl.
After the winter break, the renowned hotelier family is now handing over its well-established hotel business to Ulla Häfner, who will take over the management of the hotel from 1 March 2020. She learned the profession from the bottom up.
After almost 19 years in the banking industry, she is returning to her roots. She completed her training as a hotel manager at the Dorint Hotel at the Nürburgring and met her husband at the Dorint Hotel Bad Neuenahr, where she was shift manager at the reception and he was deputy hotel manager.

"It has always been my dream to run a hotel in the far north by the sea. The sea stayed away, however, the romantic little town of Rüdesheim am Rhein has grown dear to my heart. In the middle of the beautiful Rheingau, surrounded by vineyards with the world-famous Riesling", says Ulla Häfner.
She is supported by her husband, who is no stranger to Rüdesheim. Since 2016 he has been successfully managing Niederwald Gastronomie between Niederwalddenkmal and the top station of the Rüdesheim cable car.
"Perfect synergies can be created with both businesses. A great combination, which will be unique in Rüdesheim. We often get the question about hotel rooms. We can now offer these for events, celebrations or for example on New Year's Eve. Both enterprises will fertilize themselves mutually" is Peter Häfner the firm conviction.

The plan is to continue the concept and style of the house and not to change anything at first until the business is running smoothly.
However, the couple allows themselves a glimpse into the future: "If everything works out as we would like it to, we can imagine reopening the Entenstube restaurant at some point. We like the theme around the duck very much and it shows that the Brühl family has created a unique selling point on which to build".
