October 3 – Sparkling Wine Tasting at Ohlig
During a guided tour of the historic Ohlig sparkling wine cellar, visitors gain fascinating insights into the production of fine sparkling wines. Of course, a tasting is also a must.
October 4 – In the Footsteps of Hildegard von Bingen
A special guided tour is dedicated to the life and work of the famous Benedictine nun and polymath Hildegard of Bingen. Starting at the abbey, the tour takes you on a journey through history and culture, exploring Hildegard’s special connection to the region.
October 10 – “Strong Women – Strong Wine”
On October 10, Rüdesheim will celebrate the connection between strong women and exceptional wines. At “Strong Women – Strong Wine,” prominent women, regional wine, live music, and inspiring stories come together. The event offers unique insights into the world of Rheingau wine and invites guests to combine enjoyment, conversation, and a passion for wine.
“Federweißer Days” – Fall Delights at the Market Square
A special highlight of Rüdesheim’s fall festival season is the traditional “Tage des Federweißen” (Federweißer Days), which will take place on October 17 and 18, as well as on October 24 and 25, 2026, at Rüdesheim’s market square.
For more than 30 years, the winemakers of Rüdesheim have been celebrating their fall festival on the last two weekends in October. The focus, of course, is on Federweißer and Rüdesheim wine, accompanied by regional cuisine and a varied musical program.
This makes the “Tage des Federweißen” not only a gathering place for wine lovers, but also a festival for the whole family— for young and old, and for visitors and locals alike. It also serves as an atmospheric conclusion to the Rüdesheim wine festival season and is one of the last wine festivals of the year in the Rheingau.
End-of-Season Celebration with Wine, Snacks, and the Winzerexpress
On October 31, Rüdesheim offers two special ways to enjoy the end of Golden October.
During a guided tour and tasting at the Asbach Visitor Center, guests learn more about the history and production of this famous Rüdesheim specialty.
Another special fall experience is the delightful “Winzerexpress” special tour, which includes a wine tasting and a light snack.
The Winzerexpress takes passengers on a leisurely ride through the colorful vineyards up to the Ramstein lookout point. There, a special treat awaits with a magnificent view of the Rheingau.
Once they reach the top, guests will find:
An exclusive tasting of three wines with winemaker Martin Störzel,
a delicious Rheingau snack, perfect with the Rüdesheim wines,
