The Hildegard Wine Walks offer an entertaining way to combine hiking with the wine culture of the Rheingau, as well as the works of St. Hildegard and the life of the Benedictine nuns at Eibingen Abbey.
Every weekend after Pentecost, the Oestrich-Winkel Tourist Association invites visitors to experience the Flötenweg hiking trail. Twenty-two wineries along the approximately 10-kilometer route invite visitors to taste wines, enjoy light refreshments, and listen to music. The trail marker for the Flötenweg is always the "wandering bottle."
