Hildegard Wine Walk
The Hildegard Wine Walks combine hiking with the wine culture of the Rheingau, the works of St. Hildegard, and the life of the Benedictine nuns at Eibingen Abbey in an entertaining way. The nuns offer insights into the daily life of the order. Through short talks and meditations, they highlight what modern society can learn from this woman of the Middle Ages. Sr. Thekla, the director of the abbey’s own vineyard, draws parallels to the current vintage. Culture and wine ambassador Wolfgang Blum highlights the region’s charms. The price includes one glass of Secco and one 0.1-liter glass of wine.
Meeting time: 1:00 p.m., duration: 3.5 hours, 15 euros (includes 2 glasses of wine or sparkling wine), children (up to age 14) free, bring your own lunch, no registration required
